Citing a technical error, the Jordanian army announced that two Jordanian pilots were killed on Sunday in a plane crash in northern Jordan during training exercises.

The army added in a statement that the training plane crashed in an unpopulated area in the northern town of Ramtha, near the border with Syria.

In addition, the army extended its sympathies and condolences to the families of the two pilots and their comrades in arms.
