A Ministerial meeting of the Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee takes place in Istanbul.

The Turkish side was represented by Mevlut Çavuşoğlu, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Türkiye, while the Qatari counterpart was led by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahaman, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The preparatory meeting of the Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee was held in Istanbul. The Turkish side was represented by  Mevlut Çavuşoğlu, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Türkiye, while the Qatari counterpart was led by  Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahaman, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Both Türkiye and Qatar discussed areas of mutual interest and cooperation between the two parties in many fields, including finalizing the MoUs and agreements to be signed during the forthcoming Strategic Committee. The two sides also discussed international and regional developments during the meeting. Amid the Ukraine-Russia crisis, the role of Türkiye in transporting wheat has been discussed. Moreover, the situation in Iraq and Libya, alongside the latest Algerian declaration of Palestinian reconciliation, have been discussed.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahaman, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs,  affirmed that the meeting was constructive and led to continued cooperation and relations especially in trade, investment, and economic areas.
