The Turkish Presidential Spokesman Ibrahim Kalın issued a statement urging the US to end its support to the PYD/YPG terrorist organization in northern Syria. Furthermore, Kalın expressed that the US should also end the activities of the Fethullah Terror Organization (FETÖ) in its own country.

The statements mentioned above came in the aftermath of Kalın’s phone call with the US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. In this call, Kalin underlined that three major problems are present in Turkish-US relations. These are, the sanctions imposed due to the S-400 issue, Washington’s support of the PYD/YPG since the Obama administration, and the continuation of FETÖ activities in the country.
