Syria intercepts Israeli missile attack, state media says

Syrian state media announced that Syrian forces responded against launched missile attacks in the late hours of 3 February.

Syria’s main state media declared that, on Wednesday at 23:00 local time, missiles were launched from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights region against military positions in the Quneitra province. Furthermore, while citing a military source, the state media reported that Syrian forces responded with anti-air systems and managed to eliminate most missiles.

Other reports from the country indicated that the regions targeted an area controlled by Assad forces, and also where pro-Iranian militias are present. The sounds of the bombings were heard from the capital Damascus, some witnesses in the city say.
