On Thursday, the Office of Israel’s Prime Minister released a statement announced that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu talked with Bahrain’s Crown Prince Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa about several issues, including Netanyahu’s visit to Bahrain and the country’s prospective involvement in establishing a vaccine facility in Israel.

Bahrain Crown Prince expressed his interest in being part of an investment to establishing a vaccine facility that is planned to be located in Israel, the statement added.

On February 4, the Prime Minister’s Office announced that the planned visit of Netanyahu to the UAE and Bahrain had been postponed due to coronavirus restrictions. Due to the same reason, the Israeli delegation had to cancel its participation in the International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) 2021, which started in Abu Dhabi on February 21. The visit had been planned upon the invitations from Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa.
