Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received a letter from Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz on Thursday on bilateral relations between the two Gulf neighbours
The message was conveyed by Saudi Ambassador Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan, who addressed measures to improve relations between Doha and Riyadh with Qatar’s ruler, according to the state news agency QNA.
The warning comes as US Vice President Joe Biden prepares to travel to Saudi Arabia next month for a conference with Gulf leaders, as well as Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq.
Any travel to Saudi Arabia, Biden said on Saturday, would be for a “bigger meeting” on regional security. Saudi Arabia and Qatar have worked hard to strengthen their economies.
