Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Thursday that Turkey is taking important steps toward normalizing relations with Saudi Arabia.
Cavusoglu said in a television interview, “We did not have a negative attitude toward Saudi Arabia in terms of normalizing relations, either commercially, economically, or politically.”
“I can say that concrete steps will be taken on this issue in the coming period,” he said, stressing the importance of reviving relations between the two countries.
Cavusoglu said that despite Saudi Arabia’s previous lack of cooperation, progress had been made in judicial cooperation between the two countries.
