Israel’s Foreign Minister Yair Lapid paid a visit to Bahrain on Thursday, which has become the highest-level meeting since the two countries agreed to normalize relations last year. During his visit, Lapid inaugurated the Israeli Embassy in Manama.
The Israeli top diplomat also toured the Bahrain headquarters of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet.
During Lapid’s visit, he and his Bahraini counterpart inked several cooperation agreements in various fields, including medicine, healthcare, sports, and water and environmental conservation.
