On Friday, the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen stated that the Houthis attacked an Aramco oil facility in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah.

Saudi Aramco’s Bulk Plant in Jeddah was targeted with an “act of aggression” by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, a coalition statement cited by the Saudi state news agency SPA said.

Following the “hostile” attack, a fire erupted in tanks in the oil facility, though it was controlled, and no casualties were reported, the statement added.

Since 2014, Yemen has been engulfed by violence and instability when the Iran-aligned Houthis captured much of the country, including the capital Sanaa.

The conflict has created one of the world’s worst man-made humanitarian crises, according to the UN.
