On Saturday, the spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition force in Yemen declared that a Houthi drone attack towards Abha International Airport and King Khalid Air Base was intercepted by the coalition.

The news on the interception came 24 hours after Yemen’s Houthi movement stated they launched a drone attack on the two locations aforementioned. The attack is just one of many frequently conducted by the Houthi movement, towards strategic locations near the Saudi-Yemeni border.

This latest attack took place just as the US announced its removal of the Houthis from its list of terrorist organizations, effective from 16 February onwards.
