On his first official trip to Jordan since 2017, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman landed in Amman on Tuesday.

A correspondent reported that bin Salman was greeted at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman by Jordanian King Abdullah II and his Crown Prince, Prince Al-Hussein.

Five years after taking office as Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Bin Salman is visiting Jordan as part of a regional tour that began on Monday in Egypt and ends on Wednesday in Turkey.

Given that it occurs before an anticipated Arab American conference that Saudi Arabia will host in the middle of July with US Vice President Joe Biden present, the Saudi Crown Prince’s visit assumes extra significance.
