It is reported that Bahrain’s Interior Minister Rashid bin Abdullah al-Khalifa held a video call with Israel Public Security Minister Amir Ohana on Tuesday. During the call, they discussed many issues including security cooperation
Based on the statement made by the official Bahrain News Agency, the normalization agreement was hailed and its role to promote security, stability, and prosperity was highlighted.
In the meeting, the Bahraini Interior Minister stated that King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s reform project ‘consolidates coexistence, tolerance and openness values as parts of Bahraini identity.’
Issues regarding security cooperation, exchange of expertise, mutual interests were discussed throughout the meeting.
Bahrain and Israel signed an agreement to normalize relations last September, and diplomatic relations were established within the same year.
