Israeli President Isaac Herzog, according to Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, is an “amazing diplomatic asset” for resolving issues.

According to an Israeli news outlet, Bennett issued a statement from his office in West Jerusalem.

Bennett talked about Turkey’s bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of Herzog’s diplomatic work with Ankara.

“In my opinion, he’s doing a great job,” he stated. “He is a tremendous diplomatic asset in the resolution of disputes.”

Reports in the Israeli press stated that Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and his administration have been cautious in their dealings with Turkey.

He also talked about how Ankara and Tehran are not “good friends, to say the least,” considering recent developments in the Middle East.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog will pay a visit to Turkey in mid-March, according to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s announcement on February 3.

The Israeli Presidency is largely a ceremonial role, with executive power vested in the cabinet led by the prime minister.
