Mohamad Bishr, Sebha’s Security Director, explained that it was the 115th Brigade under the command of Mohamad Al-Jarh of the Southern Military District, who closed the court and the judges fled for more than a day.

He noted that they had taken legal measures and referred a report to the Attorney General’s Office accusing warlord Khalifa Haftar of obstructing the electoral process.

Bishr added that they only recognize Supreme Commander Mohamed al-Menfi, Defense Minister Abdel Hamid Dbeibeh, and Chief of the General Staff Mohammad al-Haddad. He also mentioned that the militias affiliated with Haftar have been present in the city for five years and did not secure the city.

The Tareq Bin Ziyad militia group of the 115th Battalion under Haftar’s command on Sunday appealed against Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi’s disqualification from the elections by the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) by besieging the Sebha courthouse and not allowing judges to the courtroom on Monday morning.
