Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett spoke by phone with US President Joe Biden, according to his office, as the two addressed a variety of matters, including regional concerns.

Bennet expressed his gratitude to President Joe Biden for the operation to capture and kill Daesh/ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi in northern Syria, noting that “the world is now a safer place as a result of the heroic operation of the United States military.”

Among other topics, increasing Iranian aggression, measures to thwart Iran’s nuclear program, and the current situation between Russia and Ukraine, were discussed.

Bennett thanked Biden for his “unwavering support for Israel” and extended an invitation to him and his wife to visit the country.
