The United Nations (UN) Special Adviser to Libya Stephanie Williams met with political party officials in Libya in an online meeting.

During the talks, Williams called on the High Council of State (HCS) and the House of Representatives (HoR) to compromise on a constitutional basis for fair and inclusive elections.

Williams also stated that the talks, which started on Sunday, took place with wide participation.

In a post on her Twitter account after the meeting, Williams emphasized that the purpose of the meetings was to find solutions to the political impasse, to raise the voice of the silent majority, and to revitalize the political process.

In addition to this, Williams appreciated the party officials for their participation and stated that the role of political parties is very important for the future of Libya.
