The chief of Turkish Land Forces General Musa Aysever paid a visit to the Qatari capital of Doha. Within the scope of his visit, the Turkish commander met with his Qatar counterpart Saeed Hussain Al Khayarin.
According to Qatar’s state-run news agency, the two high-ranking military officials discussed bilateral defense cooperation as well as the ways of improving them.
In recent years, Turkey and Qatar have seemed to strengthened relations in various fields, including military and economy.
As the latest sign of improving relations, the seventh meeting of the Turkey-Qatar Supreme Strategic Committee was held last December in Doha with the presence of Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
