The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Sunday reporting that Foreign Minister Cavusoglu would pay a two-day visit to Bahrain.

According to the statement, Cavusoglu’s visit will take place upon the invitation of his Bahraini counterpart, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.

The ministry statement also noted that a wide range of issues, including bilateral ties as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern, would be discussed at the meetings during the visit.

The visit will come as a rapprochement has been observed between Turkey and GCC countries in recent times.

Previously, it was reported that Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would pay a visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia in February.
