Two top Turkish officials will pay Palestine and Israel a two-day visit starting on Wednesday, Turkey’s Foreign Ministry stated.

During the formal visit, Presidential Spokesperson Ibrahim Kalin and Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Onal will meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, along with Israeli officials, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Our delegation will also meet with the Israeli authorities to discuss the preparations of the visit of Isaac Herzog, the President of Israel, to Turkey and will undertake political discussions with Israeli officials,” the statement expressed.

The journey comes ahead of a planned visit to Turkey by Israeli President Isaac Herzog, set to take place in March, as recently announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
