Turkey’s Ambassador to Libya, Kenan Yilmaz, and Musa Al-Koni, representing the southern region of Fezzan within the Libyan Presidential Council, came together in a meeting. Yilmaz, while referring to the strong bond the two countries have, stated that they have a high motivation for the development of relations between Turkey and Libya. Musa Al-Koni, on the other hand, appreciated Turkey’s efforts to achieve stability and peace in Libya during the meetings.

Ambassador Kenan Yilmaz stated that cooperation and technical consultations between Turkey and Libya in various fields should be increased. In addition, Yilmaz emphasized that Turkish companies are very willing to contribute to the restructuring process and show their experience in this field.

It is possible to see the increasing effectiveness of Turkish companies in Libya. The officials of Albayrak Holding visited the Misrata Free Zone (MFZ) during the week. Discussing the investment opportunities within the MFZ, the parties discussed future cooperation opportunities. Company officials also visited the port of Misrata and other areas allocated to the company within the free zone.

Turkey, which welcomed the Dbeibeh government and the Presidential Council, is one of the major countries in the war-torn North African country that shares its experience with Libya in the field of construction, and in the security sector.
