On Wednesday, Turkey’s Ambassador to Libya Kenan Yilmaz visited the eastern part of the country, where he met with the speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Aguila Saleh.
During the meetings, the relations between the two countries were discussed along with the latest developments in Libya.
Yılmaz’s visit came two weeks after the HoR delegation, which included the Acting Speaker of the HoR Fawzi al-Nuwairi, visited Turkey.
The delegation, which came to Turkey on December 15, met with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu after the Parliament Friendship Group meetings.
The Libyan presidential election, which was scheduled to take place on December 24 last year under a UN roadmap, was postponed without any new date for the vote.
