On Wednesday, Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani held talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart Zakir Hasanov in Tehran.
A statement by the Iranian Defense Ministry said the talks delved on security and military relations as well as regional issues.
Underlining the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, Hasanov thanked Iran for its support for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, according to the same statement.
For his part, the Iranian defense minister stressed the importance of boosting cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan in the fields of defense and security.
