Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman met with the UN envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen, on Monday.
During the meeting, discussions were centered on the latest developments in the Syrian crisis and the importance of continuing to facilitate humanitarian access to all Syrians.
The two sides also stressed that reaching a political solution in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions is crucial to ending the war and the suffering of the Syrian people.
The meeting comes a day after Syrian opposition figures talked with the Qatari foreign minister in Doha.
