Members of Libyan HoR visit Turkish President Erdogan

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, and his accompanying delegation paid a visit to Turkey, during which the delegation paid a visit to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, and his accompanying delegation paid a visit to Turkey on Wednesday. Within the scope of the visit, a meeting of the Turkish-Libyan Parliamentary Friendship Group was held. After the meeting, the delegation paid a visit to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Nuwairi, who made a statement after the meetings, stated that they aim to develop bilateral relations with Turkey and that is why the first visit at the presidential level took place.

In addition to this, the Head of the Turkish-Libyan Parliamentary Friendship Group, Ahmet Yildız, conveyed his thanks to the Libyan delegation who visited Turkey despite the intense election agenda. Stating that their international support to Libya will continue, Yıldız stated that the release of the Turkish citizens kidnapped in eastern Libya makes the Turkish people happy.

Yıldız also stated that they closely followed the political reconciliation process and the election atmosphere and emphasized that Libya’s peace and stability should be preserved.
