On Sunday, tribal leaders in southern Libya announced on social media that they had suspended production at the El-Feel oil field.

Tribal leaders are demanding that Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh hand over duties to Fathi Bashagha.

The tribal leaders, in addition, called for the dismissal of the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) Chairman Mustafa Sanallah and the appointment of a new board.

Thereupon, in a statement made by the NOC, it was announced that production at the El-Feel oil facility was stopped.

El-Feel oil facility has a daily production capacity of 90,000 barrels.

The ports of Sharara, Zouvetina, and Hariga were also closed by local groups.
