Lebanon condemns Israeli aggression on surroundings of Damascus

The Lebanese Foreign Ministry condemned, in the strongest terms, the Israeli aggression on the surroundings of Damascus.

On Friday, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry condemned, with the strictest words, that the Israeli belligerence on the environs of Damascus, confirming the rejection of Syria using Lebanese airspace to aim against Syrian sovereignty.

A local news agency cited a statement delivered by the Ministry as a proverb that “While denouncing any attack on the sovereignty of brotherly Syria and refusing to use the Lebanese airspace to aim it, the Ministry articulated its full harmony with Syria in the face of the repeated attacks carried out by Israel.”

The Ministry called upon the international community to arbitrate in stopping constant Israeli attacks on the sovereignty of Syria, which goes on to a rich violation of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and resolutions of international legitimacy.

The air defenses of the Assad government averted an Israeli missile attack on Wednesday, that beleaguered some sites on the outskirts of Damascus and put down most of the missiles.

The Israeli attacks resulted in the injury of four soldiers and material damage.
