Jordan’s King Abdullah II receives letter from Iraqi PM Al-Kadhimi

Jordanian King Abdullah II received a letter from Iraq Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi.

On Monday, Jordan’s King Abdullah II received a letter from Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, delivered by Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ali Allawi during his visit to the country, according to a statement by the Royal Hashemite Court.

During a meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace, King Abdullah II reaffirmed Jordan’s support for Iraq and its people, in efforts to safeguard their country’s security and stability, according to the same Royal Court statement.

“His Majesty commended the level of coordination and cooperation with the Iraqi leadership and government, stressing the need to implement plans for bilateral economic projects between Jordan and Iraq, as well as trilateral projects with Egypt,” the statement read.

The King also asked the minister to convey his greetings to the Iraqi Prime Minister.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi also attended the meeting.

The three countries have recently held trilateral meetings in the Iraqi capital Baghdad aiming to bolster security and economic cooperation between the three countries.
