King Abdullah II emphasized the strong bilateral connections and the significance of increasing collaboration across all sectors in the service of the two peoples during the meetings, according to a Royal Court statement.

The Jordanian king lauded Bahrain’s support for Arab issues and its resolute efforts to safeguard Arab unity under King Hamad’s leadership.

For his part, aside from the Jordanian community’s contributions across all sectors in Bahrain, King Hamad emphasized the two nations’ longstanding links and advanced degree of collaboration.

The two presidents further expressed pleasure with the amount of trade and the advanced state of economic and commercial relations.

King Hamad praised Jordan’s efforts to facilitate the repatriation of Bahraini students and nationals during the COVID-19 pandemic. They also emphasized the need for cooperation in combating and eradicating the virus.

Additionally, while King Hamad expressed gratitude for Jordan’s support for Bahrain’s counter-terrorism and extremism efforts, the two leaders emphasized the need for continuing collaboration in efforts to combat terrorism and preserve security and stability.

Throughout the meeting, the two leaders emphasized the need for continuing coordination and consultation on areas of mutual interest, most notably the Palestinian situation.
