On Tuesday, Minister of Social Development Ayman Mufleh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qatari Minister of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs Yousuf Othman to bolster cooperation in the areas of family affairs and development.

The memorandum of understanding, which came on the sidelines of an official Jordanian delegation’s visit to Doha, included the exchange of expertise, information, studies and legislation in the fields of social affairs.

The agreement comes to follow up, enhance and develop joint projects between the two countries, the local news agency reported.

Jordanian-Qatari trade is witnessing remarkable stability and growth, despite the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic on trade exchange, and on the economies of all countries, the representatives held in a statement.

During 2020, the Qatari private sector exported goods and commodities, primarily including various chemicals, worth 140 million Qatari riyals to Jordan, the chamber added.
