Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett urged the US not to delist Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from its list of terrorist organizations.

“We refuse to believe that the United States would de-designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization “Naftali Bennett, Israel’s prime minister, and Yair Lapid, Israel’s foreign minister, issued a joint statement.

The statement came after the Israeli news website Walla reported that Washington was considering delisting the IRGC in exchange for a public commitment from Iran to “avoid regional escalation.”

Bennett and Lapid alleged that the IRGC was “behind the attacks in the Middle East on American citizens and soldiers.”

Additionally, they charged the IRGC with “the murder of hundreds of thousands of Syrian civilians.”

“Attempts to delist the IRGC as a terrorist organization are an insult to the victims and ignore documented reality backed up by unequivocal evidence,” the joint statement stated.
