Hezbollah claimed to have carried out a reconnaissance flight over Israel using a drone.

“Despite attempts to shoot it down, the drone flew for 40 minutes over northern Israel and returned to Lebanon,” Hezbollah said in a statement cited by the group’s private channel.

The Israeli army announced that it had been unable to intercept a drone flying in from Lebanon.

“It is obvious from the early inquiry that a tiny wireless drone was observed earlier today inside Lebanon heading towards Israeli land,” Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adrae tweeted.

Israel called jets, helicopters, and Iron Dome missiles after violating Israeli sovereignty, he said.

“In addition, an interceptor missile was launched from the Iron Dome without being able to intercept it,” he added.

Adraee stated that “the little drone returned to Lebanon in a matter of minutes.”
