On Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid will fly to France to discuss the Iran nuclear deal with French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to an Israeli newspaper, Lapid will express Israel’s worries about the likely resumption of the Iran nuclear deal and the easing of sanctions against the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The same Israeli newspaper reported that Lapid and Macron have a “great relationship” and that Lapid considers Macron to be his “closest” European counterpart.

This will be Lapid’s first abroad travel since becoming prime minister a week ago, although his administration has yet to confirm it.
