As part of his first visit since taking office in 2014, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived in Doha on Tuesday.
El-Sisi arrived at Hamad International Airport in the Qatari capital Doha and was received by Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, according to Egypt’s state news agency,
The agency stated that the two-day visit will see discussions on regional issues and ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
Following the signing of a reconciliation agreement in Al-Ula, Saudi Arabia, which brought down the curtain on the Gulf crisis that broke out in the summer of 2017, Egypt and Qatar restored diplomatic ties in January 2021.
