According to local media on Monday, at least 112 people were injured in an explosion at a sodium carbonate factory in southwestern Iran.

A semi-official news agency reported that the explosion was caused by a leak in one of the tanks at the factory in Firouzabad city in Fars province.

In a written statement, the Fars State Medical Emergency Service said that 112 people were injured in a fire caused by the explosion.
