Following a meeting between Arab League foreign ministers in Cairo, a three-page resolution was adopted urging for the revival of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and for the revival of the peace talks itself. Furthermore, the resolution also acknowledged the reconciliation process between Hamas and Fatah, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ decision to hold legislative and presidential elections within the year.

The meeting between the ministers stands as the first in-person meeting since the COVID-19 outbreak. Masks were worn by most delegates as a precaution, while remaining delegations were represented by either low-ranking officials or through video conference.
