Bomb blast in Afrin kills several on Saturday

At least 6 people were killed and more than 25 were injured after a car blew in the city of Afrin, the Turkish defense ministry says.

The Turkish defense ministry announced on 30 January that a car bomb detonated in Afrin city center, which has caused at least 6 casualties and left more than 25 people injured. The bomb detonated at an industrial complex, that initially resulted in 5 deaths and 20 injuries. Updates from local sources on 31 January indicate that the toll has risen to 6 deaths and 25 injured.

No responsibility has been claimed for the bombing. However, the Turkish Ministry of Defense holds the YPG terrorist organization responsible for the attack.
