The foreign ministers of the member states of the Arab League approved the holding of the Arab League Summit, which will be hosted by Algeria, on November 1-2.

In a written statement from the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that the date of the next Arab League Summit became clear with the decision of the foreign ministers meeting in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.

It was stated that the summit, which was previously agreed to be held in Algeria, was approved to be held on November 1-2 with the proposal of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The ministry emphasized that this date is of symbolic importance as it is the 68th anniversary of the independence struggle called the Independence Revolution that Algeria started against French colonialism.

The Arab League Summit could not be held in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
