Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra delivered a letter from Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to King Abdullah II during a trip to the country on Sunday.

The King asked the Algerian foreign minister to convey his greetings to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and he wished Algeria’s people continued prosperity and progress, according to a statement from the Jordanian Royal Court.

King Abdullah II reaffirmed Algeria’s longstanding ties and expressed a desire to increase bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas.

It was said in a statement that King Abdullah II stressed the importance of bolstering Arab cooperation to meet the challenges facing the region.

Several regional and international issues were also discussed, including the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

An Algerian delegation also including Algeria’s Ambassador to Jordan Mohamed Sherif Kourta attended the meeting along with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi.
