In Libya, the eastern representatives of the 5+5 Joint Military Commission formed by the military officials in the east and west of the country called on Khalifa Haftar to stop oil exports, close the coastal road connecting the east and west, suspend flights and cut mutual cooperation mechanisms.
It is claimed that this reaction of the military officials is associated with the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU) Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh’s approach, who is not willing to hand over the executive task to Fathi Bashagha.
Bashagha was appointed by the parliament for the transition period. In addition, the authorities decided not to attend future commission meetings.
