Omer Behram Ozdemir

Omer Behram Ozdemir is a Levant Studies Expert at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies. He received his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Canakkale 18 March University, and was awarded a master’s degree in International Relations by Sakarya University where he is pursuing a PhD. From 2011 to 2020, he worked as a Research Assistant at Sakarya University at the Middle East Institute and the Faculty of Political Sciences. He has authored articles, book chapters and analyses on the Syrian civil war, non-state armed actors and foreign fighters.
